Yellow Day Lilies
I wish they lasted a little longer :-)

~ Chris ~
Little yellow flowers have now appeared on the stonecrop - one of our favourite perennial ground covers.

No matter how many choices there are at the Nursery, we always come home with baskets of red geraniums ~ love them ♥

This red Azalea has held its blossom by hiding from the midday sun.

Potato Vine

I like to use Potato Vine in my baskets & urns. In this particular hanging basket I've combined both the purple & lime green with pink geraniums and they stand up to the heat beautifully.

Our Potato Vine is very robust and seems imperious to slugs and snails.
It has grown to the top of the pergola and has to be cut back regularly :-)

Bird Feeders

Just enough snow has melted
for Sparrow

Our Birdfeeder attracted a squirrel last year and it managed to tear the netting from the frame.

Monday, 1st February 2010 - Leaves

Fatsia Leaves

Whether soaked in rain or sun these leaves just shine all year round!

Friday, 29th January 2010 - Paths

The interlocking brick path just off our deck
resembles a waffle
after high winds have blown most of the snow away.
I often have to tread carefully along the path by the washing line!

Clearly I am not the only one :-)

Tuesday, January 26, 2010 - Weather

No snow, no frost, no rain, no sun.
Just heavy grey clouds.
And Fennel patterns against the sky.

~ Chris ~

Yarrow, with a sprinkling of snow.

After a few days of rain, the snow returned this morning, but only for a while.
